Hi Alan

Sorry not to comment earlier.  Is it worth saying that the current work being done by the IETF to develop WEIRDS will allow tiered access to Whois data - recognising the legitimate need of individuals and organisations for not having their details made public,while addressing legitimate needs of the LEAs for access to Whois information?
