Please note I have done this with extreme reluctance. The conditions for
re-joining the list are fairly simple and straightforward. Additionally, the
conditions do not extend to the election, I have in fact argued against
removing his name from the ballot.

I tend to concur with the viewpoints expressed by both Kieren and Bret.  An
action by the Chair that would result in a competing candidate's loss of
posting privileges during an election cycle is  ill-advised.  In my view,
this is an issue that properly should be forwarded to the Ombudsman's office
for impartial/neutral resolution.
