como preparación para la votación sobre WHOIS: 

Por un lado tenemos la breve y concisa posición que nos ha enviado Olivier para representar a ALAC, que es enteramente favorable al informe. Sería fácil subirse a ella con un voto aprobatorio.

Por otra parte, están los comentarios públicos de otros participantes, con diversos tonos y tónicas. Quisiera destacar el de Andrew Sullivan, posiblemente el mejor informado desde el punto de vista técnico, que pueden consultar en http://forum.icann.org/lists/whois-rt-final-report/msg00004.html 

Ahí verán que es MUY desfavorable al informe del WHOIS Policy Review Team, con algunas bases técnicas sólidas. 

Extraigo una sola cosa en breve (aunque recomiendo la lectura completa): ICANN necesita un estudio más amplio sobre las opciones disponibles para la política de WHOIS que las que ofrece el informe; ICANN no debe tratar de crear un repositorio único de WHOIS, centralizado; y nuestra comunidad no ha discutido el balance de problemas y beneficios de una política única de WHOIS, sobre todo si ésta fuera a ser aplicable indistintamente a gTLDs y ccTLDs.

¿Por qué no aprovechamos la teleconferencia dentro de unas horas para preguntarle a Óscar Robles su opinión, ya que lo tenemos como ponente? Nada más avísenle con anticipación si sí le vamos a pedir esto.
