 Let's see, let's see, let's see. An organization starting from scratch in outer space will have very little time with 9 and a half weeks. The organizations that make up LACRALO have been active for around 20 years, some ostensibly longer, building different aspects of Internet governance. It would be expected that they would be able to formulate concrete opinions in short periods of time based on their tradition, structure and pre-existing documents.


 For LACRALO, there are approximately 4 weeks left until the February meeting, which should be enough time to at least formulate the basic positions and explore the levels of consensus and dissent around them. Various documents can also be used as discussion guides, such as those we have produced in the Dynamic Coalition on Core Internet Values, those of the Internet Society, and of course those of ICANN; if not the complete documents, at least their indexes as thematic guides to structure the debate.

Colegas, les retransmito una importante invitación del Panel de Liderazgo (Leadership Panel> del IGF (Foro sobre Gobernanza de Internet). Está realizando una consulta global para construir la visión de la "Internet que Queremos", "Internet we want". En los documentos anexos y en el URL contenido en este mensaje pueden ver más información.



Esta consulta y el IGF Leadership Panel son pilares de la pervivencia del IGF bajo principios multisectoriales o "multistakeholder" descrito en parte en el artículo del Prof. Wolfgang Kleinwaechter que distribuí hace unas horas y ya fue comentado por nuestro siempre diligente consocio Alberto Soto. En la medida de lo posible, todas las organizaciones activas en este espacio harían bien en realizar una consulta con sus miembros e invitar a participar a organizaciones afines y, con o sin ellas, participar en la construcción de esta visión colectiva.



También podría ser un tema de interés para una discusión colectiva, quizás en la reunión mensual correspondiente a febrero, para explorar los consenso y disensos en nuestra propia comunidad.



Es posible que los documentos anexos ("cover letter and invitation" y "process and timeline") no pasen por los filtros del correo a la lista. Los mantendré disponibles a solicitud y solicito a nuestro liderazgo hacer lo propio para consolidar la institucionalidad del proceso.
