Huberto, I agree with Alexander. To complete the story, I think it should be clarified when elections reference should have been carried out, and the reasons why were not realized. And also two schedules with dates, from the dates on which they had made, considering the proposed alternatives.

 Thanks and best regards

 Humberto,

thank you very much for this message.

Before you can form an opinion is needed:

 1. Explicitly mention dates and places of both ICANN meetings rather than refer to them by number. What goes from 60 to 63 a year, right?

 2. explicitly mention the duration of the extension of the mandate that each implies and for whom. I repeat what I recently said: this is not just an administrative matter, it is a possible extension of the mandate and that is also political.

 3. Indicate what steps will continue the mediation process, in the same message. For many reasons it would be preferable that the new election is later than the final agreements that we reach as a result of mediation, but there are also reasons to not wait, especially if the pending process is still long.

 Thanks again.

 Dear members of LACRALO,

We would like to ask your opinion on the regional electoral calendar LACRALO leaders.

As previously stated, it would be very useful for the Regional Leadership program LACRALO could be synchronized with that of the other RALOs and the ALAC. Do allow the NomCom know what ALAC and RALO leaders would be in a leadership chosen to take this into account when selecting the positions of NomCom position. It would also allow the At-Large support us more efficiently.

Then two options are presented. We believe that both options must be voted by members of LACRALO.However, we would like to ask your opinion on which prefers its reasons for selecting option:

The first option is to hold elections in May with full synchronization achieved in ICANN 60

In this case, the election of Regional Leadership would have to take place during May and not in February. Elected leaders would take their positions immediately after the close of the 2017 Annual General Meeting (ICANN 60). This would mean that the current President and the Secretary of LACRALO remain in office until ICANN 60. This would allow a transition period if new leaders are chosen. Both current leaders and newcomers receive support for travel to the Annual General Meeting.

The second option is to hold elections in May with full synchronization achieved in ICANN 63

In this case, the election of Regional Leadership would have to take place during May and not in February.LACRALO elected leaders take their positions immediately in June 2017. The newly elected leaders would take office on June 1, 2017 with a term of office ending in the Annual General Meeting 2018 ICANN 63. Their support for travel begin ICANN in June to 59 This is an intermediate solution where full synchronization occurs at ICANN 63.

We would appreciate your opinion before 13 March 2017. After that, we will open a voting process to decide which is the best choice for our THIN.

 Regards,

 Humberto Carrasco - President

 Maritza Aguero - Secretary
