It says they plan to acquire NIC.sk  'as a legal entity and all associated
assets and liabilities.' Not new - I think Verisign owns .tv - but does
certainly represents an uptick in that area.....with portents for
competition in the space

One would expect the ccTLD market operations to eventually converge with
their portfolio gTLD operations; the own .xyz, among others. At least in
this aspect - in my own view - they would just be following extant ccTLD
market operations that are moreso like gTLD market operations.
