Hello all
Congratulations to our new President Andrés Piazza. Looking forward to a 
prompt election for the Secretariat position, and that we can all work 
in collaboration to move forward in taking the views of the LAC region 
into consideration in the ICANN processes.
I would also like to suggest that given the interest shown in the past 
in topics such as Internet Users Bill of Rights etc, that we might at 
some point, consider forming a Working Group to work on IGF issues such 
as the aforementioned Bill of Rights, and other issues of interest to 
the ALSes and membership of the region that do not fall into the ICANN 
remit.
Of course, as the major focus is ICANN, this would not at all be 
designed to take resources away from our primary focus (Names and Numbering)
I also think that a bilingual President is great and support your 
initiative to write in both English and Spanish. I also hope that there 
will be a renewed focus on outreach, as there are areas in LAC that are 
not participating (Suriname and Haiti to name but a couple). If there is 
to be a Working Group for such outreach, I would be pleased to participate.
