[EURO-Discuss] Outcomes of the Teleconference: Status of V Cretu's Candidature

Dear Colleagues:

This is the first of a series of emails requested by the participants  
of the teleconference of 4th May, the summary outcomes of which may  
be found at: https://st.icann.org/euralo/index.cgi? 
meeting_notes_4_may_2007.

I have asked Ms. Cretu to clarify the meaning of her most recent  
email to the list, and she has confirmed:

1) She wishes to remain a candidate if it does not violate any rules  
or procedures to do so;
2) If there is a procedural or rules-related problem with her  
candidature, she wishes to decline to remain a candidate.

I will shortly copy all of you on an email to the office of the ICANN  
legal counsel, as requested, to get the official view on the  
questions surrounding her candidature which have been raised.
