[Euro-board] Timeline for Selection of the ICANN Board Director selected by At-Large

Thanks Olivier! This timeline sounds feasible. 

One question: will we have a discussion within EURALO for the pro- and cons about the candidates? Maybe we can do such a discussion right after the "Meet the candidates" call, when they have left the call. This will help EURALO members to set their vote, because many don’t know the background and from one call only it is hard to take such an important decision.

Just a suggestion.

Dear EURALO Board members,

you will have seen the announcement below. This means that the next
stage of selection is starting. In essence, there are two candidates in
total.
In our RALO:
- our three ALAC members are free to vote for whomever they want to vote
for. Some members might voluntarily decide to vote according to the
wishes of our ALSes
- I, as the RALO Chair, will cast a vote as directed by our ALSes. The
process for this is mandated in the ALAC Rules of Procedure:

/19.10.3 If a vote of a RALO Chair is to be directed by RALO membership,
that decision and the nature of the direction require vote(s) of the
RALO according to its rules./

As a result, we need to conduct a vote of our ALSes to direct my vote.

The current published timetable:

Meet the candidates: Tuesday 14 February 2017
Round 1: opens 21 February 2017 and closes 28 February 2017

May I suggest that we open the EURALO vote for ALSes immediately after
the "Meet the candidates" call and close it 10 days later?

Therefore:

EURALO ALS vote opens on Wednesday 15 February 2017
Reminder to be sent to EURALO ALSes having not voted: 20 February 2017
EURALO ALS vote closes on Saturday 25 February 2017 @ 23:59 UTC

This way, I have several days to cast the EURALO RALO vote between 24
February 2017 and 28 February 2017.
