[ALAC] At-Large Travel Fresh Start

Hello Jonathan and everyone,

Thank you for reigniting this useful discussion. Exploring metrics and
incentives seems particularly relevant as the landscape of "young recruits"
evolves, placing the At-Large community at the forefront of these changes.
I am certain that my co-authors (included in the CC) would also be eager to
revisit the discussion we initiated following our community's experience
during the pandemic, particularly concerning volunteer support and
contribution metrics. You can find our article on this topic here:

with references to specific metrics deployed elsewhere.
Additionally, Maureen initiated a dedicated communication with the Board on
this issue around the same time, with the kind facilitation of Leon. I am
certain we would all be glad to contribute to a meaningful discussion on
enhancing support for our volunteer-based community and enhancing its
outputs.
