[ALAC] ICANN activities for Nov-Dec 2020

You will have noted in this recent ICANN newsletter that we are entitled to
fill some vacancies in the ICANN community - in amongst all the
other duties you perform within ICANN and in your own communities...🤔

*1) Intergovernmental Organisation (IGO) Work track*
     a) EOIs are being invited for the Chair Position - closes on *Monday
30 November 2020*
     b) Volunteers are still being requested, although we have had ONE
volunteer already and are entitled to two. The ALAC must put forward our
candidates for this PDP by *7 December 2020.*

*2)  Fellowship Program Mentors and Selection Committee Members*
     * We have had one volunteer for the mentor position, but there have
been none for the Selection Committee.  It would be helpful to get more
volunteers to ensure a fair selection for these important roles. Send you
EOI to the staff for consideration by the AASC.  The ALAC must select their
respective mentor and Selection Committee representative by Sunday, 31
January 2021.

*3) Community Representatives Group to Select Independent Review Process
(IRP) Standing Panel*
  * Volunteers are also being requested from each of the SOAC communities
to be on the Selection Panel that will select the Independent Review
Process Standing Panel. The IRP Standing Panel will actions (or inactions)
by the ICANN Board or staff that are allegedly in violation of the Bylaws
or Articles of Incorporation.  So we need people who have the background to
select good candidates for the eventual Standing Panel.  We need to get our
volunteers for the Selection Panel by *4 December 2020.*
