[ALAC] [IANA-issues] CWG Charter

Dear all,

 

The drafting team of the charter for the CWG on “IANA functions stewardship transition” proposed a draft charter (attached) for the approval of the chartering organizations (including ALAC).

This charter has been already approved by the ccNSO. The SSAC also approved it and proposed minor amendment for more clarity. 

 

Please find hereafter the mail of Patrik  Fältström, chair of SSAC with the proposed amendment, and advise if the ALAC should endorse it.

Cross Community Working Group on IANA Stewardship Transition

Thank you for the opportunity to review the draft Charter for the Cross Community Working Group to Develop an IANA Stewardship Transition Proposal on Naming Related Functions.  

Over the last 7 days, the SSAC has circulated this document (attached) to its whole membership for final review and comment.  The SSAC notes that adding the words "'for the root zone" at the end of item 4  in the section titled 'Scope' would improve clarity.  However, should it be too late to make this change, the SSAC hereby advises its endorsement of the version as circulated.

I also want to thank the by SSAC appointed representative, Julie Hammer, for the work she has done throughout this scheduling process.
