Escribanos del Uruguay”. It is a professional association in which
Uruguayan Notary Publics can be members, however, it is not mandatory to be
registered before it in order to practice as Notary Public. It is just like
for example the Uruguayan Bar Association, in which Uruguayan lawyers are
