Dear RALO Leaders and Members,


The 2nd Draft Report of the Cross Community Working Group on Enhancing ICANN Accountability (CCWG Accountability) is now seeking comments. Its Public Comment period<https://community.icann.org/x/a45CAw> will end in 29 days (15 September 2015).

This Public Comment is of pivotal importance and the ALAC will

 submitting

 a Statement.
​To ensure we engage as widely as possible as the statement is drafted,​
 the ALAC is eager to hear from ALSes and
​
individual
​
 members across the five RALOs to gather input.

To
​facilitate
that, we encourage you to incorporate the CCWG Accountability 2nd Draft Report as an agenda item in your RALO’s upcoming monthly teleconference in August. Alan Greenberg, Leon Sanchez, Cheryl Langdon-Orr, and/or other At-Large members/participants in the CCWG will be happy to

​ and answer any questions​
. This effort will not only facilitate your members' understanding of this public comment, but also help the ALAC incorporate regional views in its Statement. RALO Leaders — If you’d like to have a presentation on the 2nd Draft Report in your next RALO call, please contact At-Large Staff ASAP and we will help coordinate the speakers and presentations.

Le second avant-projet du rapport du CCWG Accountability (Groupe de Travail Intercommunautaire étudiant comment améliorer la prise de responsabilité d’ICANN) est maintenant ouvert aux commentaires. La Periode de Commentaire Public<https://community.icann.org/x/a45CAw> se terminera dans 29 jours (le 15 Septembre 2015). Alan Greenberg, Leon Sanchez, Cheryl Langdon-Orr, et/ou d’autres participants At-Large du CCWG seront ravis de faire une présentation et de répondre à vos questions. Cet effort améliorera la compréhension de ce Commentaire Public de vos members mais contribuera aussi à ajouter les points de vue régionaux dans la Déclaration. Leaders Régionaux – si vous désirez une telle présentation pendant votre prochaine réunion RALO, veuillez contacter le staff At-Large dès que possible et nous organiserons les présentateurs et présentations.

El Segundo borrador del Informe del Grupo de trabajo Cross Community sobre el mejoramiento de rendición de cuentas de ICANN (CCWG Accountability en sus siglas en Ingles) está pidiendo comentarios ahora. El Periodo de Comentarios Públicos<https://community.icann.org/x/a45CAw> terminara en 29 días (15 de Setiembre del 2015). El Segundo borrador de Reporte estará disponible en dos formatos: 1) Version completa: https://www.icann.org/en/system/files/files/ccwg-draft-2-proposal-work-stream-1-recs-03aug15-en.pdf; 2) Sección por Sección: https://community.icann.org/x/pKs0Aw.

Este Comentario Publico es de esencial importancia y el ALAC estará enviando una declaración para asegurarse que mientras la declaración está siendo redactada estemos todos al tanto, el ALAC está esperando escuchar de las ALSes y los miembros individuales de los cinco RALOs para reunir comentarios.

Para facilitar esto, los alentamos a incluir el Segundo reporte de  CCWG Accountability como un tema en sus agendas de sus teleconferencias mensuales en Agosto. Alan Greenberg, Leon Sanchez, Cheryl Langdon-Orr, y/o otros miembros de At-Large/participantes en el CCWG estarán complacidos para presentar brevemente y contestar cualquier pregunta al respecto.  ​

Este esfuerzo no solamente facilitara el entendimiento de sus miembros de este  comentario público, pero también ayudara al ALAC a incorporar los puntos de vista regionales en su declaración. Líderes de  los RALO: si quisieran tener una presentación sobre el Segundo borrador en la siguiente llamada de su RALO, por favor sírvase contactar al Personal de At-Large pronto para poder coordinar oradores y las presentaciones.

ALses de los RALOs y miembros no afiliados que quisieran enviar comentarios separadamente o  dar textos específicos para inclusión o apéndices a la declaración del ALAC, son bienvenidos a hacerlo.

Si quisieran que el ALAC incorpore la visión del Miembro Regional del ALAC en la declaración del ALAC, por favor sírvase enviar sus comentarios por escrito al personal de At-Large Staff hasta el 21 de Agosto del  2015 a las 23:59 UTC.

Finalmente, por favor note que un documento con Preguntas Frecuentes sobre el Segundo borrador será publicado esta semana y distribuido a través de los RALOs para facilitar su participación en este proceso de Comentarios Públicos.
