I was in Calgary last week and went to the Consulate there. They will be mailing me my visa back via ExpressPost and I expect to get it next week.

All,
I picked up my visa this morning. I had to wait in one line to get a plastic card with a number, was told to go and wait on another line.
On this visit to the visa office I saw a big poster stating that they no longer issued "same day" visas. This poster was not visible from the drop-off line I stood in the week before.
Let me know if anyone else has problems.
-Garth

And I told them about a previous visa but didn't think to put the number on the form and no problem.

I've had them cut a small corner off or pierce it with some holes or stamp cancelled on the ID pages, but that's it. Last time I had to renew early because the PP was already full, and I was explicitly told that they were just cutting off a discreet corner of the cover and ID page so that I could keep the rest as a souvenir.
