Hi,

I do not think this goes far enough.  It only asks for transparency. I think we should be asking for community participation on creating at least the short list.

Yes, this must be a Board led activity and a Board responsibility to ultimately choose, but there is no reason why the community can't be represented in the process.  I think a nomcom-like process to help the Board selection process in coming up with the short list would be an appropriate approach.
