I agree and fell that we are currently at a disadvantage. I have seen
no public posts firmly against supporting a petition. Seeing the
reasoning behind that argument would certainly do more to advance the
conversation than keeping it off-list. The only way to reach any real
consensus is to have an *open* debate.
