muchísimas gracias por este envio. ¿Puedes orientarnos respecto a qué se
está discutiendo sobre "Diacríticos en escritura latina"? Como sabemos,
éste sí es un tema de efecto inmediato en la región. Basta observar cuánto
mejor se vería "Año de Juárez" con los diacríticos. ¿Qué se está
discutiendo al respecto? Si es para los nuevos gTLDs, es posible que
nuestra posición deba ser que NO se autoricen cuerdas (secuencias de
caracteres o "strings") para gTLDs que difieran de otras solamente por los
diacríticos, digamos punto-aun y punto-aún, o punto-yáñez, punto-yañez,
punto-yánez y punto-yanez. El potencial de confusión es extraordinario. Si
bien consideramos que se deben autorizar los nombres con diacríticos, no
debemos, repito, permitir que se utilicen nombres que sólo difieran por el
uso de estos signos distintivos.
