Estimada Región,

En primer lugar, me gustaría expresar mi agradecimiento a José Luis Barzallo, Olga Cavalli y Adrián Carvallo por nominarme como candidato para el puesto de miembro de ALAC. Sin embargo, después de una cuidadosa consideración, he decidido rechazar la nominación. Si bien creo que tengo los méritos y la experiencia necesarios para el cargo, temo que mi candidatura provoque división en lugar de unidad en la región. Soy plenamente consciente de los esfuerzos realizados para hacer avanzar a la región, y no quiero perjudicar estos esfuerzos de ninguna manera.

Además, creo firmemente que la región se beneficiaría de una mujer como candidata a miembro de ALAC que luche por los derechos de los pueblos indígenas. Es crucial contar con representación y perspectivas diversas en los puestos de liderazgo para garantizar que todas las voces sean escuchadas y consideradas.

Me gustaría agradecer a todos aquellos que expresaron su apoyo en privado, y sigo comprometido a servir a la Región en el futuro.

Dear Region,

First and foremost, I would like to express my gratitude to Jose Luis Barzallo, Olga Cavalli, and Adrian Carvallo for nominating me as a candidate for the ALAC member position. However, after careful consideration, I have decided to decline the nomination. Although I believe that I have the necessary merits and experience for the position, I fear that my candidacy may cause division rather than unity in the region. I am fully aware of the efforts made to move the region forward, and I do not want to harm these efforts in any way.

Furthermore, I strongly believe that the region would benefit from a woman as an ALAC member candidate who fights for the rights of indigenous people. It is crucial to have diverse representation and perspectives in positions of leadership to ensure that all voices are heard and considered.

I would like to thank all those who expressed their support privately, and I remain committed to serving the Region in the future.
