Dear IDN WG members,

Thanks Evin.

As a practice, ALAC does not usually comment on RZ LGR proposals, unless there is a special reason to do so. We do, however, encourage our members who belong to the respective language communities to consider providing comments.

Therefore, we do not think an ALAC statement is necessary for these two cases. Pls let us know if you think otherwise.

Stay safe,

With kind regards,

Dear At-Large IDN WG Mailing List Members,

During the CPWG Meeting today, the two ICANN Public Comments on Proposal for Chinese Script Root Zone? Label Generation Rules<https://community.icann.org/pages/viewpage.action?pageId=126427508> & Proposal for Bangla Script Root Zone? Label Generation Rules<https://community.icann.org/pages/viewpage.action?pageId=126429100> were discussed.

The CPWG wanted to request that the At-Large IDN WG indicate whether they believe ALAC should issue a statement on one or both of these Public Comments, since IDNs are a topic of interest within the At-Large community.

If you would like to volunteer to contribute to an ALAC statement on either of these ICANN Public Comments, please let staff know by this Friday, 27 March 23:59 UTC.

Thank you,
