[IDN-WG] Fwd: [UA-Measurement] UA Readiness Training for Java Developers

Hi folks.
Emily Taylor had a great idea, that is to add to the standard ICANN learning courses stuff about UA - and implicitly IDN.
There is a specific proposal from Dennis, with further elaboration from Mark.
I think that our WG should discuss this and propose - in collaboration with UASG - a set of materials that would be appropriate for basic training.
What do you think?
Cheers,
Roberto

Dennis has a very powerful idea that I would like to take a step further: could we integrate these tutorials into different online learning platforms and resources? There would be very little cost and it would enable developers to organically reach them over time.

Java is outside my competence area, so my comments focus on content delivery.

  1. Slides – would the delivery of information be enhanced with a voice over and real-time coding examples? UASG has a youtube channel; perhaps this could be one of a series of self-paced tutorials.
  2. Index – an index would be helpful to find specific sections without scrolling throughout the whole presentation.
