what an impressive report. As a former Chair of a NomCom I see a great progress which has been made in the last years. Well structured, good balance between transparency and confidentiality, better skill training for NomCom members, better evaluation and enhanced communication with the community. Much more granulated. Congratulations.

Dear colleagues, greetings and hope this finds you well!

I am convinced that the 51st ICANN Meeting in LA is fruitful and
interesting.

This is to share with you two important reports:

1. As NomCom 2014 completes its work at the close of ICANN's 2014 Annual
General Meeting, the report for 2014 has been made available at
https://www.icann.org/en/system/files/files/final-16oct14-en.pdf

2. NomCom 2014 has also made available the results of the internal reviews
carried out on the members of the committee. It is for the first time the
NomCom has reviewed itself following the 360 review methodology, details
available from
https://www.icann.org/en/system/files/files/360-review-members-15oct14-en.pdf


As someone who does work around openness, transparency and accountability,
can state that these reports by NomCom is a clear illustration  of the
values embedded by the committee and of the commitment made
towards accountability for the organisations that send people to serve on
the NomCom, and the community as a whole.

All these practices are due to the great work of the NomCom 2014 members
and of the NomCom 2014 leadership team, who did a fantastic job!
