Hi all,

I must highly agree with what Allen just said.  As being one of those
people and even saying bluntly that I was out of it, I was plunked back
in.  Suddenly there are votes happening and I'm being deluged with stuff
that I felt *completely* unqualified to participate in.  I almost baled on
the first day.  I'm still unsure why I'm here.

Yes, the welcome message was also sent to unaffiliated members as I
apparently am now.
