British Airways have posted an advisory on this:

It's a bit nutty:

"All electronic devices must have power and if you are unable to power up
your item you will not be allowed to fly"

So if you've got a dodgy battery or can't find a power source ..

Dear all,

As many of us travel to the U.S. from very diverse origins and for very
varied reasons, I thought it would be useful for you to know that enhanced
security measures are being put in place by the TSA and now seem to require
that all electronic devices are properly powered as powerless devices will
not be allowed on board the aircraft.

This can be specially important since the next ICANN meeting will take place
in Los Angeles.
