Internet Society President & CEO *Kathy Brown*, and Trustees *Desiree
Miloshevic*, *Theresa Swinehart* and *Narelle Clark*, have posted Weaving
Women of the World into the Global Tapestry of Modern Digital

importance of women in ICT. The article highlights
several initiatives across the ISOC community that support women interested
in technology careers and bring Internet access and training to women
around the world.

Here at ISOC-NY we actively support local organizations who actively
recruit girls into computer science, such as the New York City Foundation
for Computer Science Education <http://csnyc.org/> (CSNYC) and Girls Who
Code <http://girlswhocode.com/>. We have also lent international assistance
to the ITU's Tech Needs Girls <http://www.techneedsgirls.org/> campaign.
