I am really looking forward to the ISOC briefing - 6:45am NYC time on
Tuesday - which attacks the issue of the future of the end-to-end principle
- something that is cast into doubt by both modern network management
techniques, rich media content delivery, and responses to
surveillance. Panelists
are Harald Alvestrand, Fred Baker, and Andrew Sullivan

[image: ietf]This week the 89th meeting of the Internet Engineering Task
Force (IETF) <http://www.ietf.org/meeting/89/> is taking place in London,
England. As in the past, the Internet Society has published our "Rough
Guide to IETF 89 <http://www.internetsociety.org/rough-guide-ietf89>". This
document reflects our interests and what we see as the important topics
related to the technology

have as an organization. There is some further commentary from ISOC Chief
Internet Technology Officer *Leslie Daigle* at her ' London
Calling<http://internetsociety.org/blog/tech-matters/2014/02/internet-society-rough-guide-ietf-89-london-calling>'
blog post. As always there are plenty of opportunities for remote
participation <http://www.ietf.org/meeting/89/remote-participation.html> that
will allow you to listen to what is going on and to provide comments.
