[At-Large] Fifth Regional Preparatory Meeting for the Internet Governance Forum, Bogota, Columbia

Dear Olivier,

Thanks very much for this words. I am very much aware of that intentions.

I need to clarify a couple of points. Regarding RALO-RIR Cooperation,
LACNIC has many ways of interaction. I am not only talking about the
dialogue session  (LACNIC with Civil Society and Academia) but also a
special membership category for entities that do not get IP resources.
There are already ALSs in this membership category.

I was personally committed to strengthen this relationship since I was
LACRALO Chair, and I feel very enthusiastic about the chance we have now.

The Regional IGF thing is a little different. I must clarify that LACNIC is
just one of the organizers of this event. NUPEF Institute from Brasil, APC,
Internet Society (Regional Office) were always behind this event as peers.
This year we are also trying to engage Private Sector and Governments. They
already attend to the discussion, but will also be into the Group of
Organizers, in order to achieve a truly multistakeholder forum.

NRO (the 5 RIRs) are also regular contributors to the Global IGF as well.
