Most of the applied for IDN strings are brand names (Google, Amazon, 
Volkswagen) or generic terms (com, org, website, gossip, food.) I don't 
see any reason to give them preference over brand names and generic terms 
in Roman letters.

If the proposal were limited to geographic applications (Moscow in 
Russian, Abu Dhabi in Arabic) I would support it.  If it were limited to 
geographic and non-commercial community applications (Catholic in Arabic 
and Cyrillic, Rus in Cyrillic) I could probably be persuaded to support 
it.
