[APAC-Discuss] Reminder - Call for Nominations: APRALO Vice Chair from July 2021 through the 2022 Annual General Meeting

Dear All,

On behalf of Satish Babu, Chair of APRALO, this is to announce the call for nominations to fill the available position of APRALO Vice-Chair made available through resignation of the office holder.

The selected person will hold the position of APRALO Vice Chair from July 2021 through the 2022 Annual General Meeting.

Selection Timetable:

  *   22 June 2021 -  Announcement of call for nominations and Nominee's Statement.
  *   22 June – 29 June 2021 - Nomination period.
  *   2 July 2021  - Deadline for nomination acceptances
  *   5 July  2021  - 7 July 2021- Call with the candidates if desired by the RALO.
  *   7 July - 14 July 2021 - Elections if required.
  *   Newly elected Vice Chair shall take their seat immediately following the selection/election.

 The following shall be the process for posting and accepting nominations for the APRALO Vice-Chair Position:

  1.  Nominations, including self-nominations, must be made directly to the apac-discuss at atlarge-lists.icann.org<mailto:apac-discuss at atlarge-lists.icann.org> list. Any current subscriber to this list can make nominations.
  2.  Nominators must also post the nomination at the 2021 Selection for APRALO Vice Chair July 2021 through 2022 AGM<https://community.icann.org/display/APRALO/2021+Selection+for+APRALO+Vice+Chair+July+2021+through+2022+AGM> Wiki Workspace directly, or by sending a mail to At-Large staff;
  3.  A nominee who opts to accept his/her nomination must do so by replying directly to the said mailing list, with a copy to At-Large staff,<mailto:staff at atlarge.icann.org> and must complete or update their Statement of Interest (see: At-Large New SOIs Workspace<https://community.icann.org/display/atlarge/At-Large+New+SOIs+Workspace>).
  4.  Apart from the nomination and the acceptance, additional messages  to the said mailing list expressing support for any candidate are not required; and
  5.  For accepted nominations, candidates should also share a brief statement explaining their suitability to the said mailing list with a copy to At-Large staff.
