If any one is interested in joining the e discussions please send Anja an
email. She is on the civil society governance list and you can tell her I
recommended your involvement. This could also be a means of identifying
potential ALS structures.

Dear all,
We are happy to share with you that more than sixty of you have now joined
us for the e-discussion on social media and democratic space in Asia
Pacific. As knowing who you are dialoguing with tends to make for better
conversation, I have pasted the current list of participants below this
message as well as added it in attachment. Several more people are due to
join us for the second part of the e-discussion.
But at the moment, we are only just starting with the first part! *Please do
start sharing with us ideas on how and when social media might contribute to
the widening of democratic space, using examples from across the
region.*Examples could come from a variety of arenas - from citizen
journalism
initiatives over activism to engagement with governments - and could be big
or small in size and impact. As long as there was a positive change, we
would like to hear more!
We look forward to learning from your experiences.
With warm wishes,
Anja
