A brief description of this Webinar
During this webinar, the Guest Speaker will take participants through a brief overview of the New Generic Top-Level Domain (gTLD) Program, and suggest answers to 4 key questions around the topic of 'New gTLD Rounds and Subsequent Procedures’:

  *   How does New gTLD Program impact end-users?
  *   What are Subsequent Procedures?
  *   Why should Subsequent Procedures matter to end-users?
  *   What’s next with Subsequent Procedures - a new round of New gTLDs?
 Although introductory in nature, the Guest Speaker will attempt to touch on the end-user connection to selected sub-topics for which policy development is taking place within the GNSO New gTLD Subsequent Procedures Policy Development Process Working Group. Thus, this webinar is not only suitable to those who are less familiar with the New Generic Top-Level Domain (gTLD) Program in general, but it will also provide an opportunity for more seasoned ICANNers to reaffirm or reacquaint themselves with why and how Subsequent Procedures matter to the At-Large community.

About the Guest Speaker
Justine has been an active member of the New gTLD Subsequent Procedures PDP Working Group since 2016. In December 2018 she was appointed to serve as the At-Large liaison for that PDP Working Group, as well as one of 5 At-Large regional members for the subsidiary Work Track 5 on Geographic Names.

In addition, Justine is an established member of the At-Large Consolidated Policy Working Group (CPWG) to whom she makes regular presentations on Subsequent Procedures and in the process, she has produced a collection of resource materials on Subsequent Procedures for At-Large capacity building and consensus building purposes.  More recently, as a panelist on the ICANN68 At-Large Policy Session entitled "New gTLD Applicants: Expanding the Circle", Justine spoke on At-Large's input to policy reforms needed to encourage more applications for niche Top-Level Domains by new, single, and/or community-based applicants in the next New gTLD application round.

Justine became a member of the At-Large Advisory Committee (ALAC) following the ICANN 66 AGM in 2019, having been selected by the Nominating Committee to represent the Asian, Australasian and Pacific Islands Region.

We will have an interactive quiz during the presentation and an opportunity for Q&A at the end of the presentation. Staff will end the webinar with an Evaluation Survey to allow us to continue to improve these webinars.

Au cours de ce webinare, Justine présentera aux participants un bref aperçu du programme des nouveaux domaines génériques de premier niveau (gTLD) et proposera des réponses a 3 des questions clés fur le theme des “cycles de nouveaux gTLD et procedures ultérieures:

  *   Quel est l’impact du programme des nouveaux gTLD sur les utilisateurs finaux?
  *   Quelles sont les procédures ultérieures?
  *   Pourquoi les procédures ultérieures devraient-elles être importantes pour les utilisateurs finaux?
  *   Quelle est la prochaine étape des prodédures ultérieures – une nouvelle série de nouveaux gTLD?
Bien que de nature introductive, Justine tentera de parler de la connexion de l’utilisateur final à des sous-thèmes sélectionnés pour lesquels le développement de politiques est en cours au sein du groupe de travail sur le processus d’èlaboration des politiques des procédures ultérieures du GNSO New gTLD. Ainsi, ce webinaire ne convient pas seulement à ceux qui sont moins familiers avec le programme de nouveau domaine générique du premier niveau (gTLD) en général, mais il offrira également une opportunité aux ICANN plus expérimentés de réaffirmer ou de se familiariser avec le pourquoi et le comment. Les prodédures sont importantes pour la communauté At-Large

Nous aurons un quiz interactif pendant la présentation et une opportunité de Q&R à la fin de la présentation. Le personnel terminera le webinaire par une enquête d’évaluation pour nous permettre de continuer à améliorer ces webinaires.

A propos de Justine Chew:
Justine est un member actif du groupe de travail PDP sur les procédures ultérieures des nouveaux gTLD depuis 2016. En décembre 2018, elle a eté nommée pour servir de liaison At-Large pour ce groupe de travail PDP, ainsi que l’un des 5 membres régiounaux At-Large pour la filiale Work Track 5 sur les noms géographiques.

En outre, Justine est un member établi du Groupe de travail sur les politiques consolidées d’At-Large (CPWG) à qui elle fait régulièrement des presentations sur les procédures ultérieures et dans le processus, elle a produit une collection de ressources sur les procédures ultérieures pour la capacité At-Large, à des fins de construction et de recherche de consensus. Plus récemment, en tant que panéliste de la session politique At-Large de l’ICANN68 intitulée: “Candidats aux nouveaux gTDL: élargir le cercle”.
Justine a parlé de la contribution d’At-Large au réformes politiques nécessaires pour encourager plus de candidatures pour les domaines de premier niveau de niche par de nouveaux, uniques, et/ou des candidats basés dans la communauté lors du prochain cycle de candidature aux nouveaux gTLD.

Justine est devenue member de Comité consultative At-Large (ALAC) à la suite de l’AGA de l’ICANN66 en 2019, après avoir été sélectionnée par le comité de nomination pour représenter la region de l’Asie, de l’Australasie et des îles du Pacifique.
