[AFRI-Discuss] ICANN to Hold First-Ever Remote Public Meeting

Dear Pierre and colleagues,

ICANN should have deliberately tried a virtual meeting at one point or
another just to measure the impact for participation. Its sad that this
kind of meeting found ICANN.org and the community kinda unprepared if the
nature of conversations on the lists are anything to go by.

I don't want to be too pessimistic about the idea of a remote meeting for
reasons that we work tech fields. Lets see how this will play out.

We could use the concept of IGF villages using organizations that are
active in ICANN so that people congregate and participate in specific
locations, according to the stakeholder backgrounds of these organizations.
But because of time zones we may only catch half of the meetings or less.
