[AFRI-Discuss] VOTE RESULTS: 2019 AFRALO Elections, Selections and Appointments

Dear All,

First of all, thanks to all the ALS who has voted for me for the AFRALO
ALAC Member (RALO) position and greetings to all those who has not voted
for me.

Congratulations to all the elected members of the AFRALO leadership
positions and greetings to the members who are not elected.

If you are not elected, this does not mean that you are less important
that those who have been elected. You have your equal importance in our
community and we need you as much as the elected members. Unity in
diversity is our strength and let us not make minor issues divide us.

I concur with the last email from Mohamed and agree that in the future,
there should be no mention of the Nomcom ALAC seat in the announcement
for AFRALO.

It might be a mistake but it has been quickly corrected by staff and we
should all apologize for it instead of putting the blame (on ourselves)

Let us close this issue now and proceed with serenity.

Our leaders in AFRALO have struggled to lead us where we are now and let
us pledge to take it further. We can only be successful if we proceed as
one team, as one nation and as one united community. Unity will continue
to be our best asset and our strength.

Best regards

Dave Kissoondoyal
