Dear all,
I just wanted to point out that in the ICANN bylaw (
https://www.icann.org/resources/pages/governance/bylaws-en/#article12)
Section 7.5(V) that talks about ALAC rep to NOMCOM ONLY say

*(v) The ALAC shall, after consultation with each RALO, annually appoint
five voting delegates (no two of whom shall be citizens of countries in the
same Geographic Region) to the Nominating Committee. *
Above is the only aspect of the by-law that talks about ALAC rep to Nom com
and it does not mention membership of RALO neither does it mention anything
about experience or familiarity with working os the RALO or ALAC. All it
says is about *Citizenship. *
ALSO, the ALAC Rules of Procedure that I have looked at did not mention
anything about ALAC rep to NOMCOM.
I hope this would help clarify some of the issues.
