Chers tous,

 

Nous avons reçu une demande d’affiliation d’une ALS (FORCAS) et le « Due
Diligence » du staff d’ICANN relatif à cette demande.

Nous devons donner notre avis à ALAC pour qu’il puisse décider d’accepter ou
de refuser cette demande.

 

J’ai lu attentivement la demande et le « due diligence » de Matthias. J’ai
beaucoup d’interrogations et je ne suis pas encore fixé. Je prends en
considération le fait que nous sommes à la recherche de nouvelles ALS, et
que nous souhaitons en recruter autant qu’on peut. Je prends aussi en
considération le fait qu’une ALS qui n’a pas d’intérêt particulier à
l’Internet peut augmenter le nombre des ALS existantes qui ne participent
que très peu au travail d’AFRALO, et jamais dans le processus de
développement de politique d’ICANN. 

 

Pourrai-je vous demander s’il vous plait de lire vous aussi attentivement la
demande et le « due diligence » (en fichiers attachés) pour vous exprimer en
connaissance de cause sur cette demande. Il faut que nous décidions lors de
notre prochaine téléconférence qui aura lieu le 4 Janvier.

Dear all,

 

We received an application for a new ALS (FORCAS) and the related due
diligence from the staff. We need to provide the AFRALO advice to ALAC so
that they can decide to accept or to reject the application.

 

I carefully red the application and the due diligence. I still have
interrogations and I’m not fixed. I’m considering the fact that we are
seeking new ALSes and that we really hope to recruit as much as we can. But
I’m also considering that an ALS with no particular interest in Internet
will increase the number of the existing ALSes that have very few
participation in the AFRALO work, and no involvement at all in the ICANN
policy development.

 

Can I ask you please to read carefully the application and the due diligence
(attached) so that you can give knowingly your advice. We need to decide on
this application in our next Conference call on 4 January.

Scientifiques pour le Développement (FORCAS). Please find the Due Diligence
form attached.

We kindly ask you to provide us with the regional advice for this ALS. Your
advice will support the ALAC review on this application.

We would like to remind you that the DD form could contain sensitive
information. Please read the form carefully before sending it off to third
parties.
