Chers tous,

 

Suite à notre appel aux membres de la communauté Africaine d’ICANN qui
assistant à la réunion ICANN de Carthagène, une réunion s’est tenue le Mardi
7 Décembre 2010 pour débattre les sujets suivants :

*         Suivi de la déclaration Africaine adoptée à Brussels suite aux
décisions de Trondheim du conseil d’administration d’ICANN

*         Participation Africaine au développement des Politiques d’ICANN

 

Après discussion, les participants ont adopté les deux déclarations jointes

 

Ont aussi pris part à la réunion le membre du Conseil d’Administration Katim
Tourey, la Présidente d’ALAC Cheryl Langdon Orr, et 9 membres du Groupe de
Travail JAS concernant le soutien à apporter aux demandeurs de nouveaux gTLD
qui nécessitent une assistance pour demander et pour exploiter un nouveau
gTLD.

Dear all,

 

The African ICANN community attending Cartagena ICANN meeting met on Tuesday
7 December 2010 to debate the following items:

*         Follow-up on the African statement adopted in Brussels in light of
the recent related Board decisions 

*         African participation in ICANN policy development

 

After discussion, the participants adopted the attached statements.

 

The meeting was also attended by Katim Tourey, Board Director, Cheryl
Langdon Orr, ALAC Chair and 9 members of the JAS working group on support to
be provided to applicants that need assistance in applying for and operating
the new gTLDs.

Dear ALAC Members,

 

For your review, please find attached the two Cartagena Statements of the

African ICANN Community on Support for New gTLD Applicants and Support for

African Participation in ICANN Policy Development Processes.

 

The statements were adopted by the African ICANN community during the

AFRALO/AfrICANN joint meeting on 7 December 2010.   The organizers of the

event will also send the statement on New gTLDs to the ICANN Board and the

JAS Working Group.
