Chers amis,

Notre présidente Fatimata vous avait adressé il y a une semaine un e-mail
pour vous informer de l’avancement dans la préparation de notre projet de
sensibilisation que nous œuvrons à organiser à Nairobi, et vous demander :

- De voir à l’échelle nationale  les institutions qui peuvent appuyer
financièrement leur participation moyennant une lettre d’ICANN (ALAC)

- De fournir les noms des 2 personnes qui suivront au nom de leur ALS les
sessions de Capacity Building à Nairobi (par 

  ordre de priorité)

- De demander à ces 2 personnes d’entamer la procédure d’obtention de visa
d’entrée au Kenya

Malheureusement, seulement quelques uns ont répondus.

Pour nous permettre de finaliser le projet, nous avons besoin de vos
réponses. 

Je pris tous ceux qui n’ont pas encore répondu de bien vouloir le faire
incessamment. C’est notre projet à nous tous.

Our Chairperson, Fatimata, sent you a week ago an e-mail to inform you about
the ongoing preparation of the outreach project due to take place in Nairobi
next March, and asked you :

-     To see at the national level the institutions that can financially
support your participation, making use of an 

ICANN (ALAC) request letter

-     Provide the names of 2 people (in a priority order) who will follow
the Capacity Building sessions in Nairobi

-     To request these 2 individuals to initiate the procedure for obtaining
entry visa to Kenya

Unfortunately, only a few replied.

To allow us to finalize the project, we do need your responses. 

I Urge all those who didn’t reply yet to do as soon as possible. It’s our
commun project.

Dear Colleagues,

For the Nairobi ICANN meeting, AFRALO has decided to organize an outreach
event including a showcase and Capacity building sessions for the members of
African SLAes and other African civil society to increase their
participation in various ICANN policy development processes. The showcase
will be organized in parallel. To do this, a working group has been formed
to address issues related to the preparation of this event in Nairobi
(format, content, funding, speakers, etc.).

As for the funding, the Working Group has developed a draft document to be
sent to national and international institutions that would provide support
for the ALSes’ members. To help us finalize quickly the document which will
be submitted to target partners, you are kindly requested to do the
following not later than Thursday, January 21:

-     To see at the national level the institutions that can financially
support your participation, making use of an ICANN (ALAC) request letter

-     Provide the names of 2 people (in a priority order) who will follow
the Capacity Building sessions in Nairobi

-     To request these 2 individuals to initiate the procedure for obtaining
entry visa to Kenya

It has to be clear that these are only previsions and that if we fail to
have the necessary funding, the whole program could be compromised. Also,
the number of funded persons per ALS could be decreased to only one for the
same reason.

We look forward to your quick response before Thursday, January 21, 2010 to
express your interest to participate as an ALS, and supply the requested
information.
