You are referring to the Pre At-Large Summit days where Regional Meetings
were held for ALSes in a Region in parallel with an ICANN meeting in
the Region... Since the Summit the ALAC has continued to use its travel
budget to bring Two regional reps (as was offered to other Regions even when
the Regional ALSes were meeting) to attend ICANN Meetings with travel
support... AfRALO now has a Chair + Dep Chair and Secretariat any TWO of
which can be sponsored to travel...

> Correct me if I am worng, but as I remember ALSs from a region can have

> So African ALSs may have support to attend ICANN in Nairobi.

>> Dear All,
>>
>> Although AFRALO now has three regional officers, each At-Large RALO
>> receives travel support to ICANN meetings for only two regional officers.
>>
>> Standard practice is that the RALO Chairperson (AFRALO Chairperson is
>> Fatimata Seye Sylla) and the RALO Secretary (AFRALO Secretary is Didier
>> Kasole) receive travel support to ICANN meetings.
>>
>> If the AFRALO region wishes to have travel support for a different
>> combination of two AFRALO regional officers, please inform your ALAC
>> Representatives: Hawa Diakite (hawadiakite at gmail.com), Mohamed El Basher
>> (mbashir at mbash.net), and Dave Kissoondoyal (dave at isoc-mu.org) prior to
>> Tuesday, 24 November at 15:00 UTC. The ALAC meeting scheduled to begin at
>> this time will discuss the topic of AFRALO travel support for the next ICANN
>> meeting to be held in Nairobi, 7-12 March 2010.
>>
>> We apologize in advance for the brief advance notice. However, we are
>> being pressured to provide Constituency Travel with a complete travel
>> support list for the meeting in Nairobi due to the travel and visa
>> challenges.
>>
>> Regards,
>>
>> ##
>>
>> Cher tous,
>>
>> Bien qu'AFRALO ait maintenant trois dirigeants régionaux, chaque RALO
>> vos représentants d'ALAC : Hawa Diakite (hawadiakite at gmail.com), EL
>>
>> Cordialment,
>>
>> Regards,
>>
>> Nick Ashton-Hart, Heidi Ullrich, Matthias Langenegger, Gisella
