[NA-Discuss] NARALO Executive Positions

Avri, it has been the ALAC and NARALO practice essentially since the
organizations started to treat positions for which there is only one
candidate as acclaimed. The nominations were open for a full month
prior to this action being taken.

Moreover the rules for both organizations call for consensus
decisions and only resorting to a vote if there is clearly no
consensus (in both cases it is the Chair's call).

We certainly could have a rule that all selections must go to a vote
including "none of the above", but it is currently neither a rule nor
tradition. Feel free to propose it.

Alan
