[NA-Discuss] Travel Issues Sub-Report and China Visa

I received the same instructions as Alan.
I submitted my application to the Chinese consulate in Toronto in person;
for "major family members". I just put my wife.
There is an online visa application form that does an excellent sanity
At the visa centre they kept the CNNIC invitation (a printed PDF version
was acceptable) but gave me back the ICANN one; that seemed useless. I
don't recall if they looked at the hotel booking or flight itinerary but
they didn't keep that either.
Anyone with further immediate issues might get faster answers from Alan or
me than from CT.
(Truth be told, any issues should have been addressed some time ago. This
hasn't exactly taken anyone by surprise. Anyone who receives travel subsidy
from ICANN still has a responsibility to ensure their own travel affairs
are in order; staff can't be expected to understand - let alone anticipate
- everyone's individual circumstances. )
