I nominated myself the first time and the second year I did mention that I wanted to go for another term.

I do not see any problem for anybody to nominate anybody to any position as long as the person that is being nominated belongs to the region. However, It is always good to previously check with the person that is going to be nominated otherwise the person might say no at the end.

Darlene, is there anything in the by-laws regarding any of this?

It would probably be prudent to let the person being nominated know in advance in case they can't act in that capacity but I don't think this is a necessity at all (as long as the person met the criteria).
