In theory, we are supposed to have influence within the Board itself.
After playing a role in NomComm appointments(*), ALAC should, through
its direct Board rep, be able to express the public interest in just
about every topic it encounters. The board rep should be involved in
promoting openness and accountability, and ALAC should be very loud and
public if the At-Large rep is ignored or patronized.

Having said that, the ALAC board rep needs far more support than
currently exists. But that's an issue of maturity, not of an impossible
structure.

In any case, given the track record of NCUC's ability to advance its own
agenda, I'm not sure that NARALO's getting involved in GNSO promises any
more concrete results than we're getting from the status quo.
