[NA-Discuss] FW: [ALAC-Announce] Global ALAC election process/NARALO election process

Sorry,

But I don't agree with the procedures.

Per the ALAC Internal Rules of Procedure ALAC members must meet minimum participation requirements. If they do not meet such requirements, they will be asked (per the rules that they themselves adopted) by the Chair to resign. If a resignation is not forthcoming within 14 days, the Chair will notify the RALO that a recall procedure is warranted.

The Participation Report has recently been posted by ICANN Staff and neither of the NARALO elected representatives met the minimum participation requirements. Accordingly, we can expect two (2) seats to be vacated, not just one.

I would ask the Secretariat to contact the ALAC chair to determine whether the required resignations have been tendered or whether we are advised to begin a recall procedure.

regards,
Danny
