Dominik and all,
Domain Name tasting is still with us, and given the non-solution
that did NOT enjoy the consensus of the NARALO or the ALAC it
shall reamin a problem.
Elimination of the AGP would definately have solved the problem
IF proper oversight by the registrars was done in addition to
oversight by the ICANN staff and insistance of DOC/NTIA of that
oversight. But as any reasonably intelegant person whom understands
Domain Name Tasting and front running, nither ICANN nor the Registrars
want Domain Name Tasting to go away entirely as the loss in fees for
such registrations of Domain Names would be lost as well.
Lets face it, this is yet again a lack of responsible leadership
problem and originally created by the ICANN bod and the GNSO council
with being short sighted in crafting the RAA contracts years ago, even
though at the time this issue, than unnamed was articulated.
