[NA-Discuss] Chair of NARALO

Dear Colleagues,

In light of Evan's interest in serving as Chair, I decided to defer  
to his substantial enthusiasm and ability to make the time-commitment  
to the NARALO and give him my support, rather than running against  
him. Evan will make a fine chair of the NA-RALO. At the close of the  
nomination period, Evan is our only candidate for Chair. Our NA-RALO  
meeting is Tuesday in Los Angeles from 10:00 am Pacific - 1:00 pm  
Pacific. (Personally, I think we can plan to end at noon.)

Because Evan will not be physically present in Los Angeles, what I  
suggest is that I continue to serve as Interim Chair through the  
Tuesday meeting, and as the last order of business on the Tuesday  
agenda, we elect Evan as Chair by acclamation for a term that will  
begin immediately and end at the close of ICANN's annual meeting in  
2008. If you have any objections to this process, please feel free to  
raise them with me off list.
