[NA-Discuss] LA Planning Update

Hello Everybody,

Here is the info that I’ve collected so far re: LA.  It looks like  
fodder for the start of a wiki.... hint hint.  If you see any errors  
in my fact gathering, please make corrections. And of course, add  
your name to activities you are interested in helping out with.

People who are interested in coordinitating activities in LA:   
Robert,  Michael, Eduardo, Gareth, Bret, Dharma, and Beau.

People who are NOT attending for sure:   Sylvia Caras,

People who are DEF. attending:  Robert, Beau, Bret

Randy is hoping someone else from his group will be able to attend.

People who would go if they were subsidized:

Michael, Evan, Gareth, Eduardo could go with full funding.

Dharma, Darlene, could go with partial funding.

Peeps I didn’t hear back from:  Wendy, John, Danny, Alan, Jean.

This is a list of activities that were thrown against the wall as  
potentials for LA.

1.  A public information meeting like the one in Toronto.

   Suggested by:  Gareth, Evan, Luc, and Darlene.   Also expressed  
interest:  most of us who met in San Juan and Bret.

2. Fundraiser sponsored by NA-RALO

  Suggested by:  Robert   Also expressed interest:  Robert’s been  
talking with potential corporate sponsors.

3 .  Planning for global RALO meeting.

4. Mapping channels for Public Participation in Internet Governance-  
workshop leading to freely available public documentation.

Suggested by:  Dharma  Also expressed interest:  Veronica, Robert,  
Micheal.

As a first step to getting a public meeting going, Robert and I  
contacted someone we both know at Annenberg who was positive on the  
idea.
