Hmmmmm...  Well, I have no problem at all with more US-based ALSs in
order to be truly representative but I do have a HUGE issue with "to
have a chance of succeeding".  Two rather different points, I'm afraid.

The obvious reason, I'm afraid.  Canada is a wonderful place, and if I
can 
ever talk my wife into it I will move north, but 90% of the people in 
North America do not live in Canada.  A RALO is supposed to represent
the 
interests of all of the Internet users in a region.

I see a lot of enthusiasm for some sort of Canadian Internet governance 
group.  It would make plenty of sense to set one up, but don't confuse 
that with a RALO.
