[NA-Discuss] Nomination of Kathleen Scoggin to the ALAC position

Good afternoon,

Thank you to Eduardo Diaz for the nomination and Joly and Alfredo for the
support, I am pleased to accept. I am happy to have been involved with the
ICANN fellowship program and Universal Acceptance efforts for the past year
and, more generally, in the Internet Governance world for the past 4 years.
With an academic position and background, I can bring a perspective that
promotes the multistakeholder model while ensuring that nuance and
technicality do not get lost in the policymaking process. I have done
extensive research on best practices in emerging tech policy for the
inclusion of minority groups and worked with organizations such as the ITU,
ISOC, and the Internet Governance Research Lab at American University.

I would welcome the opportunity to represent the interests of end-users in
the ALAC and empower the voices of the new generation of digital natives. I
look forward to continuing to learn from the ICANN community and staff and,
once again, thank you to Eduardo for the nomination.
