Glenn and Alfredo,
I'm looking forward to this, seeing it as an excellent opportunity to
inform my fellow NARALO members about city-TLDs. I will make a broad
review of city-TLDs and then focus in on the impact of .nyc on New York
City.
I'd also like to develop the presentation into an education piece for
city officials and fellow residents, making the point clear about the
total lack of engagement opportunities for residents. (There is no
formal structure or opportunity for public engagement in the operation
of the .nyc TLD.)
In thinking about outreach for the April 9 presentation, I've a few
questions.
* Is access to NARALO meetings limited to members?
* Is there a way for New York City officials to observe or participate
in the meeting? (I'd like to extend an invitation.)
* Same question for residents?
* Is a recording of the meeting available afterward, e.g., on YouTube?
If not, can one be assembled?
* Can we have a few minutes at he conclusion for suggestions from
meeting participants on ways to promote resident engagement and
advance IG? Perhaps overseen by the moderator?
Finally, note that I welcome questions from NARALOites that I might
address prior to the meeting.
Sincerely,
Tom Lowenhaupt, Director
Connecting.nyc Inc.
