Hi all,
The SF-Bay Area ISOC Chapter and ICANN have organized a free webinar
to discuss outcomes from the recent ICANN59 Policy Meeting
(Johannesburg, June 26-29, 2017). The webinar will take place on
July 18 at 12:00 (PDT).
*Register **here**. *
ICANN's Chris Mondini, Vice President, Global Business Engagement,
and Joe Catapano, Stakeholder Engagement Program Manager, North
America, will give a high level overview of the key policy
discussions that took place.
They'll be talking about and answering your questions on the
conversations stakeholders from all over the world had during
ICANN59 on a wide range of topics regarding the many aspects of the
Internet and its governance.
Topics will include:
- The stability and security of the DNS.
- The upcoming Key Signing Key (KSK) rollover.
- Intellectual property issues.
- Creation of new top level domains (TLDs) and geographical TLDs.
- Who creates ICANN policy.
- And many other policy-related issues.
Chris and Joe will also talk about why you should care about the
policies that affect the growth and development of the Internet and
how you can get involved. We look forward to seeing you all online
on July 18!
Susannah
